High Holiday Calendar

We are looking forward to ushering in the New Year with you! In this Season of Renewal, we will gather together in community, in joy and contemplation, in the glow of autumn light, to reconnect to each other and the spirit of these Holy days.

Service Info

*Tot Service is designed for our youngest members with lots of singing, stories, and maybe even a puppet will make an appearance. The Tot Service is most appropriate for children 5 years and under. Do you have unaffiliated friends who would like to join us for Tot Services? Have them call the Temple office for complimentary tickets!

Junior Congregation is a shorter more interactive holiday experience and service for students who are in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We will begin in the main service at 10:00 am. At that time, Keren Smith, Director of Education, and staff will invite the age appropriate students to join the Junior Congregation. They will be returned to the main service when the program is complete.

**Childcare will be available for the morning services for Rosh Hashanah (Monday, September 10) and Yom Kippur (Wednesday, September 19), from 9:30am-1pm. Childcare is only for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years and is free for everyone who attends High Holidays. Advance reservations are necessary and will be handled on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited. Please sign up by filling out this form, no later than Friday morning, August 31st at noon.

Want to Bring Others?

Do you have friends or relatives who would like to join us for the High Holidays? Please share this form with them and invite them to contact the office.

Can you help?

Food Drive

On Rosh Hashanah we will be passing out grocery bags, we ask that you fill them with canned goods and return them on Yom Kippur. They will be donated to the Contra Costa Food Pantry. To make a financial contribution, please go to foodbankccs.org/tikvahdrive. Thank you for starting off the new year with this Mitzvah!

Move to St. Matthew

The Men of CBT will be moving our High Holiday items over to St. Matthew’s and setting up. If you are interested in helping (we need your help!), please contact Ariel.

All services not at CBT, as noted above, are at St. Matthew Lutheran Church at 399 Wiget Ln, Walnut Creek, CA 94598 (directions).

Please don’t hesitate to contact the office with any questions or concerns. We are here to help!
