Free Childcare! And Free Tot Services!

CBT is thrilled to offer FREE Childcare, led by our beloved preschool teacher, Rebecca Seidenspinner, for our main High Holiday Services. However, you MUST reserve spots for your children in advance so that we are adequately staffed. To learn more and reserve your spot, click here!

Our B’nai Tikvah Tot Services are totally free and designed for our little ones with lots of singing, stories, and maybe even a puppet will make an appearance. The Tot Service is most appropriate for children 5 years and under. Do you have unaffiliated friends who would like to join us for Tot Services? Have them call the Temple office for complimentary tickets!

Strengthen My Heart Meditation with Rabbi Dorothy Richman
Sunday, September 15th at CBT 

1-5pm
Elul, the Hebrew month before the High Holidays, is traditionally a period of self-reflection that reaches its highpoint on Yom Kippur. Rabbi Dorothy Richman will facilitate an afternoon of engaged spiritual practice including mindfulness meditation, text study, writing exercises, and singing. We will learn how to apply ancient Jewish wisdom to our lives in this moment and throughout the upcoming High Holy day season. Junior Congregation is a shorter more interactive holiday experience and service for students who are in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We will begin in the main service at 10:00 am. At that time, Keren Smith, Director of Education, and staff will invite the age appropriate students to join the Junior Congregation. They will be returned to the main service when the program is complete. 

**Free Childcare, led by our fabulous preschool teacher, Rebecca Seidenspinner. will be available for the morning services for Rosh Hashanah (Monday, September 30) and Yom Kippur (Wednesday, October 9), from 9:45am-1pm. Childcare is only for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years and is free for everyone who attends High Holidays. Advance reservations are necessary and will be handled on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited. Please sign up by filling out this form, no later than Wednesday, September 25th.

Food Drive

On Rosh Hashanah we will be passing out grocery bags, we ask that you fill them with canned goods and return them on Yom Kippur. They will be donated to the Contra Costa Food Pantry.
