Junior Congregation

Monday, September 28th, 10:15am

Junior congregation is designed for children in kindergarten thru 5th grade.  This year our High Holiday services are going to be an interactive do-it-yourself machzor (High Holiday siddur).  This Machzor and the process of creating it, are designed to take children through a journey of self-reflection, self-evaluation, self-awareness, connection to the community, forgiveness, and ultimately renewal as we enter a new year.

Each of the two services is going to last approximately two hours, with the children engaged in interactive programming the majority of the time.

The machzorim (plural for machzor) along with the children’s High Holiday kit are going to be available for pick up Tuesday, September 15th from 4pm to 7pm and are FREE to members.  We’d love your help in getting the word out to your friends locally and around the country who you think may enjoy this interactive High Holiday experience! Guests are welcome to join us on zoom with or without the machzor and High Holiday kit.  However, the children’s do-it-yourself machzor and High Holiday kit are available to non-members for $36.  Please contact the main office if you are interested in purchasing it.

We will all start in the main service which will be live streamed from the synagogue at 10:00 am on both Rosh Hashanna and Yom Kippur.  About 15 to 20 minutes into the service the Rabbi will announce that Junior Congregation is starting.

Tot Services

Monday, September 28th, 9:00am

Rabbi Chabon and Lisa Zeiler will lead our youngest participants in an interactive, music-filled zoom service.  In this 30-minute Tot service, families will take a short journey through the holidays together, where they will sing songs, hear a story, and listen to the beautiful sound of the shofar (shofar only on Rosh Hashanah).  This service is designed for kids in preschool and is FREE and open to all who would like to have this engaging family experience.  Please help us get the word out and invite your friends to join us.

Neilah Moments in the Sanctuary

We have reached the number of congregants allowable by the time allotted for the in-person Neilah experience. You can, however, still listen to the music of Rabbi Chabon and Irene Jacobson on piano, and see the open ark for your own Neilah experience at home.  Log in to the link below any time during the afternoon.
