Winter Meditation Series with Gerri Levitas January 28, February 25, & March 18 at 1:00 p.m.

Back by popular demand, we will be offering another meditation workshop series led by CBT member Gerri Levitas, who is a professional hypnotherapist and is well-versed in guided meditation.

Through guided visualization, this workshop will help participants center, ground and access deep wisdom within their own heart. You can choose to come to all of the remaining sessions in the series, or any one of them that you would like to join. Gerri will guide participants in these workshops on three different topics:

January 28 – Planting a New Seed
February 25 – We’re All Responsible for One Another
March 18 – Stepping Outside the Box

This workshop is FREE for CBT members and open to all ages. Guests are welcome and invited to join us, with a suggested donation of $10 per workshop. Please contact our main office to make a donation.

Youth and Family Programs

Family First Shabbat Services First Friday of every month

First Fridays at CBT are tailored to our children and families. At 5:30 we have a sweet Tot Shabbat service for the littlest members of our community, which is held on the floor of the sanctuary with songs, guitar and short prayers and stories. This 20-25 minute service is followed by kiddush, motzi, and a delicious community dinner in the social hall. At 6:30 we return to the sanctuary for a Family Service geared towards school-aged kids with lots of singing and familiar prayers. Bring your families and join us for a joyful beginning to the month!

During summer months, Family First Shabbat becomes Shabbat in the Park. Join us with a blanket and picnic dinner to enjoy a beatiful, family-friendly, and casual service at the park.

Mesibaba Bringing 2nd—7th graders together to have FUN!

Mesibaba is open to all 2nd – 7th graders in the Jewish community and is always focused on building friendships while having a blast. Each Mesibaba is dedicated to a different theme combining a backdrop of Jewish content with sheer fun.

We joined B’nai Tikvah to find a community in which my children could establish their Jewish identities and go through their B’nai Mitzvah experience. Little did I anticipate, that many years later, I would have an adult B’nai Mitzvah service of my own that strengthened my own bond to Judaism. I am grateful to have found this community in which my family has been able to learn and grow.

Our family loves CBT because it is a warm and welcoming community with which we can share the Jewish year and our family's Jewish journey. We also have found the mix of Conservative and Reform Judaism to be a wonderful blend of the new and old in Judaism. This is our local Jewish home!

We found our “Jewish home” in 1992, and have been “singing” about it ever since. B'nai Tikvah is a most caring temple, with prayer and music, filling our hearts and souls!

We came, we saw, we were conquered by the welcoming, warmth of everyone we encountered at B'nai Tikvah, by Rabbi Gutterman's words and Cantor Chabon's voice. We felt at home.

We started our temple search at CBT and never made it anywhere else. We have found a diverse, warm community that is allowing our family to strengthen and deepen our Jewish identity.

I never thought I’d be the president of a synagogue, but something about B’nai Tikvah got me involved - and keeps me involved. Our warm and welcoming community can inspire... come take a look!!
