Professor Roger Scruton is one of Britain’s best known and most distinguished philosophers and public intellectuals. He is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where he earned a Ph.D. in philosophy, and was also a research fellow of Peterhouse. He has held professorships at the universities of London and Boston and visiting positions at Princeton and the American Enterprise Institute. His is currently a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C., where he is pursuing projects on the need for a new urbanism and on the cultural impact of neuroscience. Dr. Scruton is a fellow of the British Academy, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
