Shlomo Riskin is the founding rabbi of Lincoln Square Synagogue in New York, founding chief rabbi of Efrat in Israel, and founder and chancellor of Ohr Torah Stone colleges and graduate programs. He has been particularly active in protecting the rights of women and advancing their participation in Judaism, and in fostering dialogue with Christian and other religious leaders. He has published five books, most recently Listening to God: Inspirational Stories for My Grandchildren, and is the author of scores of articles and monographs on Judaism and contemporary issues as well as a weekly newspaper column syndicated worldwide.
