The Inaugural National Middle East History Competition

The Inaugural Middle East History Competition (MEHC) represents a unique opportunity to inspire college students from across North America to deepen their understanding of the history, culture, and politics of the Middle East. The subject of the Middle East has always been an important field of study. Understanding its key historical leaders and thinkers, empires and regimes, revolutionary movements, challenges, and inflection points is critically essential for understanding modern politics and current events. As world history unfolds, we believe this is becoming especially true.
MEHC seeks to foster intellectual excellence in the field of Middle East, with the hope of encouraging future leaders and experts in the field. We welcome students to apply for MEHC, to join our community of student leaders—to engage in this rigorous and unique learning opportunity—all while forming meaningful new professional connections and having fun.
MEHC includes two competitive rounds, with the finale competition being organized live as an intensive, energizing trivia program. The top three finalists will receive the following grand prizes:
