Course Description
This course offers an in-depth study of Jabotinsky by Hillel Halkin, a compelling biography of Ze’ev Jabotinsky—writer, soldier, and political visionary—who helped shape modern Zionism and the foundation of the State of Israel. Through Halkin’s vivid narrative, students will explore Jabotinsky’s passionate defense of Jewish self-determination, his unapologetic belief in national pride and cultural revival, and his insistence that liberty and strength must go hand in hand. A classical liberal and ardent defender of Western civilization, Jabotinsky’s life provides a framework for understanding how rooted tradition and modern freedom can thrive.
