Course Description
This course centers on Peggy Noonan’s When Character Was King, an insightful biography of Ronald Reagan that goes beyond politics to examine the moral and intellectual foundations of one of America’s most consequential presidents. Through Noonan’s intimate portrait, students will explore how Reagan’s character—his decency, optimism, patriotism, and unwavering belief in freedom—shaped both his leadership and the conservative movement he helped define.
