Join us on Wednesday, May 13th to hear from editor, poet, and critic Adam Kirsch. We’ll discuss the relevance of literature in a post-literate world, how to engage with creative writing, morality in art, and what Jewish literature has to do with all this. Drinks and light bites will be served.
Adam Kirsch is a Senior Editor at The Atlantic. He is the author of many books, including On Settler Colonialism: Ideology, Violence, and Justice, Why Trilling Matters, and The Revolt Against Humanity: Imagining a Future Without Us. His most recent poetry collection is The Discarded Life. He is also a frequent contributor to The New Yorker, The New Criterion, The New York Review of Books, and Tablet. He has taught literature and writing at Columbia University and Sarah Lawrence College. Kirsch earned his BA from Harvard and has received fellowships from Princeton University and the Guggenheim Foundation.
