The discussion will feature Garrett Exner of TPIF and Hudson and David Daoud of FDD.
Garrett Exner is an adjunct fellow at Hudson Institute, where he writes and comments on US national defense with a specific focus on the use of special operations forces and gray zone competition. He served as the military legislative assistant to US Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), a counterterrorism policy advisor in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Policy), and as a special operations officer in the United States Marine Corps. Garrett is the executive director of the Public Interest Fellowship.
David Daoud is a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) focused on Lebanon and Hezbollah. He previously worked as a nonresident fellow at the Atlantic Council, director of Israel, Lebanon, and Syria research at United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), and a research analyst at FDD.
